The Art of Being: How Losing Myself Led to True Freedom

I’m home alone!
And you know what? I feel a sense of freedom and peace I haven’t felt in a long time.
I’m taking up space, creating a mess without immediately having to clean it up, and I’m free!
The biggest surprise I’ve felt about being alone is that I’m not lonely. I’m enjoying my own company and allowing myself to transform into a new version of myself. This involves…
-releasing past stories
-taking up space
-choosing different thoughts
I don’t feel alone because I feel less identified with myself. I feel at one with the world around me and less obsessed with myself and my story.
It's amazing how much mental space clears up when we are not so obsessed with ourselves.
I’m surrendering to the fact that I don’t exist. Not in the way I thought I did. As I go about my day, floating from this activity to that activity, I’m much more energized because I’m not so bogged down by the story of the girl doing the activities and I can immerse myself in the activities themselves.
I’m not me. I’m the wind in the trees.
I’m not me. I’m the birds in the bird feeder.
I’m not that collection of thoughts I’ve thought a million times.
I’m not that collection of past experiences which now exist only as thought forms.
I am in the present moment and whatever task I’ve decided to indulge in in the present moment. That is the only ME that is real.
Nothing is holding me back or pulling me forward. Everything just is. And if everything just is, then I can just let it be.
The endless search to find my best self can finally end because there is no self to find.
God loves me and I have God within me. There is nothing to chase.
The purity of my own divinity consumes me as I dance around the house alone.
I don’t have a plan. I don’t need one.
Miracles are coming my way. They would be a fool not to.
Keep inspiring,
Nicole
