Surrendering to Love: The Moment You Stop Running

I’m tired of running from love.

I think we all hit a point in our journey when we finally just become tired of it.

We create so many excuses, lies, and stories about why we don’t deserve to create a beautiful life for ourselves and why we are unworthy of our purpose. We cling to so many ideas about why we are not enough.

But at one point or another, we will finally hit a wall and love will be the only place we can turn.

We can run, but we cannot hide from love.

Over the past couple years, I feel like I’ve done everything I can to continue to drive myself deeper into darkness. I didn’t do it on purpose, but I was the one creating my reality.

Now, after all this time, I need to make a new choice. I just can’t tolerate the hate anymore. I’ve slowly been choosing a better way and I’m starting to pick up speed.

My thoughts, my actions, how I treat people, it all needs an upgrade. I essentially need to become someone completely new while also deeply loving and accepting myself for who I am every step of the way.

I can’t keep going the way I’ve been going. And life has finally brought me to a place of surrender.

That’s what love does. It brings us to a place of surrender.

I don’t know what the future holds but I want to do my part in creating something magical that reflects God’s love for me.

I’m ready for the work to begin.
