Let Go of Your “Follower Count” Stress

You are too blessed to be stressed. And Jesus started with 12 followers… so if you have at least 2–3 you’re golden!

There are so many benefits to the connection social media brings us. And with those benefits, one of the downsides is that it can feel like everyone’s self-worth is deduced to one number: follower count.

It can feel discouraging when we are sharing our heart and soul every day and that follower number is not mirrored back.

Can you imagine Jesus’ initial frustration?

He was sharing the word of GOD, and only 12 people thought he was worth listening to.

In addition, Jesus did not have a fancy iPhone or laptop where he could share his messages.

He was traversing difficult terrain, walking through the poorest parts of the world, and sharing his message word of mouth for years.

And what powered him through all this? God’s love.

I don’t mean to overwhelm you by comparing you to Jesus. But, just like Jesus, many of us want to share the messages in our hearts. The messages that God placed on our hearts.

It can feel heartbreaking to look at that follower count and think that our message does not matter, but I’m here to tell you today that despite what the entire world is telling you, followers don’t need to be your main focus.

Stay close to God and your higher power, then share your message.

If you allow the followers and engagement to be your guide, you will be on a never-ending hampster wheel. Let God and your inner knowing be your guide.

Many people are trying to fill a God-sized hole with followers.

Followers will come when you are ready.

Followers will come when your message is rooted in love.

Followers will come when God decides to share your message.

You’ve got this! I believe in you and I’m right there with you. ❤

Keep inspiring,

Nicole
