Emerging From the Darkness: Trusting the Light at the End of Life’s Tunnels

My life coach said something I could barely believe…

“This time, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel”

I immediately felt the truth in what she said, I knew she was right. I knew this time was different.

The past couple of years, I’d been through ups and downs and it was nothing but pure darkness. I subconsciously learned in these times that if it feels like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, it's deception.

I had fallen so many times that I stopped trusting the light.

I stopped trusting hope and faith.

Now, I’m realizing the true deception is that the tunnel goes on forever.

Know this, whatever darkness you may be walking through, that tunnel will not last forever.

God will walk you through that tunnel until the exact moment your faith is built up strong enough to take you into your next chapter.

God is building your character in the shadows. She’s keeping you hidden while She shaves off every part of you blocking you from your own light.

You are not forgotten in this season of darkness. You are God’s art project.

The key to surviving these chapters in the dark is to know, that “this too shall pass”. And when it does, you will not be the same person who walked into that tunnel.

Who you are right now is not the same person who can take you where you want to be. Praise God for this process, because she is trying to take you into your dream future.

Your change will be almost non-existent some days, like the steady growth of a redwood. On other days, your change will be fast and awe-inspiring, like a mother looking at her teenage son wondering where the last 16 years went.

All the while, never stop believing there is a light at the end of your tunnel.

Trust that. Know that. And don’t let that fire burn out.

Let that fire inside you guide the way until it's your time to step into the sunshine.

Keep inspiring,

Nicole
