Choosing Love As My Guiding Force

I have found something worth fighting for.

And it's love.

In every moment, with every thought, and in every conversation I am going to ask myself, “is this in service to love?”

Because what I’ve realized, is that is the only thing that matters.

I have been so confused throughout my life… I’ve prioritized success, achievement, and adventure.

And while nothing is wrong with these things, they are all missing the mark.

Without a tether to love, we get lost.

It's that simple. I’ve learned, it's that simple.

I’ve always wanted to live a life that was truthful and inspiring, but I’ve learned that all truth comes back to love and the most inspiring thing in this world is love.

Not romantic love.

A deeper love.

Love for God. Love for each moment. Love for choosing love when it feels impossible.

My deepest fear is that I will ever prioritize anything else ever again.

I’m so grateful to have been brought to my knees so violently by life and by my own hand. Because down here, with nothing to hold onto, motivation means nothing. Down here, with nothing to hold onto, the only source of light is love.

It's so bluntly obvious. But with my achievements, external validation, and distractions I was blind.

There is a purity that can be only found in profound brokenness.

The surrender to love is my deepest honor. And it is something I will do every moment of every day for the rest of my life.

It was always bringing me back to love.

It's always bringing us back to love.
