Breaking Free from the Chains of Judgement

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about judgement.

I think if I could change one thing about the world, it would be to live in a world where people don’t judge each other.

I honestly think it’s the root of all evil.

If people didn’t feel judged, differences in life experiences wouldn’t make that much of a difference.

Someone who is disabled wouldn’t feel like they are missing out.

Someone from a minority wouldn’t feel targeted.

Someone down on their luck wouldn’t feel shame.

So much of our life experience and the life experiences of others could be shifted if they were met with love.

Right now, most people are caught living in fear and survival… and judging ourselves and others is just a byproduct of that.

Even people who consciously choose love and compassion cannot be in this state all the time, and inevitably fall back into judgement.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be this. It would be for humans to take each other at face value, without comparison.

It would be such a beautiful world if we could look at even the most horrible acts without judgment. We could acknowledge that they need to change and be more effective at doing that, but not shame that person.

I think this one shift would be the number one thing we could change to create world peace.

Without constant judgement, we’d realize we’re more alike than we are different.

Without constant judgement, we’d have the freedom to actually make changes.

And without constant judgement, we’d have a more enjoyable life experience.

I wish the whole world could take a pill that would stop the constant measuring and judgement and stacking ourselves up against one another.

In the meantime, I’m going to actively play my part in halting the judgment of myself and others. Until the pill comes out… this will have to do. ;)

Keep inspiring,

Nicole
