Do It Alone
Throughout my life, I’ve been someone who has needed a lot of support.
And over the past couple of years, I’ve secluded myself and that support system has fallen away.
I found myself alone.
And it's the life I unconsciously created.
I didn’t like how I was operating in the world, so I decided to pull back to avoid inflicting the tragedy of the person I’d become on others.
And I’m glad I did this. I needed time to recalibrate, refocus, and hold myself to a higher standard.
I’ve always been someone who had a strong sense of community and I relied so much on that community that I stopped relying on myself.
Instead of interdependence, I created a co-dependent life and it just was not sustainable.
I deeply believe in the power of community. And now, I am learning to believe in my own power.
Independence is scary. Self-accountability is scary. Doing it alone is scary.
But seasons of isolation are critical on our path. Seasons of isolation bring us closer to ourselves, to God, and our purpose.
If you’re alone, embrace it.
It won’t last forever.
We are stronger together, and God knows we will grow the most when we are connected with our soul tribe.
BUT it's the journey alone that leads us to the people we are meant to connect with.
Stand on your own two feet. Connect with the Earth. Connect with God. And connect with your power.
You’re being sculpted.
You were born for this.
Never forget that.
Keep inspiring,
Nicole
